2026 - February

Tillbury Ice is an aquatic jar created from packed waterfall ice from an area near Nanticoke, PA. Nothing was added to this jar besides the ice formed from a large waterfall in the winter. This jar is positioned in indirect sunlight in a 60-80°F room.

2026 - July

Nearly 5 months later and there are signs of life! I’ve observed for some time and I don’t see anything moving around. No animals yet. But there is definitely some algae forming along the bottom as well as brown fuzzy spots. Maybe fungus? I was pretty close to dumping this jar so I’m stoked to see something finally form.
